Last summer, I went back to my hometown and spent a week visiting, photographing, and thanking the people who have shaped my life, and it was some of the most important personal work I've ever done. You see, if it wasn't for who these folks are and who they have been to me, I wouldn't be who I am today... and I believe, when we look in the mirror and see glimmers of those who helped us find our way, we have a duty to honor that.
